Sonal Dinusha Wins ICC Player of the Month: 420 Runs, 3 Centuries and a Stunning Test Series Against India

His first major contribution came in Galle. Sri Lanka eventually lost the Test by 165 runs, but Dinusha stood out with a century in the first innings and 84 in the second.
The second Test, however, turned into the defining moment of his series.
With Sri Lanka under enormous pressure to avoid another defeat, Dinusha scored 103 in the first innings. He then returned to the crease in the second innings and produced an unbeaten 133, helping Sri Lanka fight their way to a draw.
The ICC noted that his twin centuries came after Sri Lanka were forced to follow on, making the performance even more significant. Dinusha became only the third batter in Test history to score a century in both innings for a team following on, according to the ICC.
